It’s been 10 years since WeSTOC was held in Canada and we welcome you back to British Columbia, where the 2010 Olympic Winter Games were held.

The city of Nelson is located in the Selkirk Mountain Range, part of the Kootenay Rockies, with an abundance of snow-capped mountains, alpine meadows, waterfalls, lakes, rivers, mineral hot springs and beaches. Four of BC’s seven National Parks are also in this region.

Nelson sits on the shore of the west arm of Kootenay Lake, the largest natural lake in southern BC. It is known as the “Queen City” with its 350 beautifully restored heritage buildings and is considered the #1 small town arts community in Canada. Nelson was the location for the movie “Roxanne”, starring Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah.

This area of BC is motorcycle paradise, with three of the top five Destination Highway BC roads located here. Cruise the longest free Ferry Ride in the world, between Belfour and Kootenay Bay, across the scenic Kootenay Lake.

Come experience the stunning scenery and virtually traffic-free motorcycle roads in the Kootenays.

Countdown to WeSTOC XVI
